I absolutely love documentaries from die-hard fans and filmmakers, because they often have nothing but a tremendous amount of respect and reverence for their source material. There’s always a lot of heart put into these types of docs, because the people behind them truly care. And judging from the following trailer, it looks like directors John Campopiano & Justin White really care about Stephen King’s PET SEMATARY! The filmmakers have been working on UNEARTHED & UNTOLD: THE PATH TO PET SEMATARY for the last 5 years, and it looks like its ready for release! In honor of the 27th anniversary, for the next 27 days, the limited edition set will be available exclusively through Terror Films at this link. Check out the trailer below!

Written by “master of horror” Stephen King, PET SEMATARY was originally published back in 1983 and adapted into a feature film in 1989 by director Mary Lambert from a script penned by King, himself. It starred Dale Midkiff, Denise Crosby and Fred Gwynne and has become something of a cult favorite among King’s cinematic adaptations, even spawning a movie sequel! A few weeks back, we ran an article from our local contributor Joe Maddrey that broke down the history of the novel and differences between the source material and the movie. Check that out right here.

For a limited time, you can now order the limited edition set direct from Terror Films. The Combo Pack includes a dual Region Free DVD / Blu-Ray copy of the Documentary featuring interviews with Director Mary Lambert and the entire cast; including Dale Midkiff, Denise Crosby, Miko Hughes, Brad Greenquist, Susan Blommaert, the Berdahl Twins and many more. The disc also features never-before-seen footage from the sets in Maine, interviews with key crew and townspeople and is chock full of other bonus features, including a fan-appreciation sizzle reel, a personal interview with the documentary filmmakers and much, much more.
