Sharon Native's Film Set for Digital Release (DIE LAUGHING)
SHARON – “Die Laughing,” Sharon native Bob Golub’s film about a standup comic and serial killer, will be released digitally Sept. 8 by Terror Films.
That means the movie will be available for download and streaming from iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play, X-Box Live and other digital platforms, said Nicholas Lanier, Terror Films’ operations manager.
“I don’t know what to expect,” Golub said of the reception to his improvised horror-comedy. “Five years of my life. I’m just happy it gets out there.”
The film could open up his work to an entirely new audience.
“For the first time, I can be seen in Russia or India,” Golub said. “India loves horror and they have 1 billion people. I’m just looking for 1 percent.”
Golub plays a traveling stand-up comedian who seems to live a normal life with his wife and kids, but occasionally kills people to quash the memories of his troubled childhood, or get back at someone who has wronged him or someone he knows.
