Katie Findlay Sees Demons in ‘The Dark Stranger’ Clip (Exclusive)
Terror Films has acquired U.S. rights to the psychological thriller The Dark Strange directed by Chris Trebilcock. The film stars Katie Findlay (“How to Get Away With Murder”) along with Canadian genre fave Stephen McHattie from “The Strain,” Pontypool and other pretty great underground films.
The Dark Stranger will stalk Video-on-demand platforms October 14, 2016 including iTunes, Xbox, YouTube, Vimeo On Demand, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, and others. It’s available for pre-order now.
Synopsis:
The story centers on Leah (Findlay), a talented young artist, who is recovering from a recent traumatic event and afraid to leave her own home. Soon after her father is visited by a suspicious art curator looking into her family’s past, she begins drawing a graphic novel in which an ominous Dark Stranger pursues a lonely girl doll, across a foreboding fairy tale landscape. As the work on the novel progresses, Leah begins to see The Dark Stranger in real life. At first, she isn’t sure if she is losing her mind or if the Stranger is a deadly supernatural force trying to destroy her.
Terror Films will release a clip a week in anticipation of The Dark Stranger‘s release, the first of which is a Bloody Disgusting exclusive titled “Agoraphobia”.
